Blanca received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico and her Master of Arts Degree at New Mexico Highlands University in Guidance and Mental Health Counseling. Prior to obtaining her education in counseling, Blanca worked in finance. She has volunteered and provided support in the community with agencies such as Agora Crisis Center and Agave Health Inc. Over the past 4+ years she has work with a nonprofit agency working toward ending Homelessness. This journey has enhanced and deepen her passion for working and understand people and their needs. Pursuing her dream of becoming a therapist has proven to be one of her best decisions.

Blanca, she has been able to work with a variety of populations with abuse, anxiety, co-dependency, co-occurring disorders, depression, family issues, marriage, personality disorders, relationship issues, stress, substance abuse, trauma, veteran’s issues, and women’s issues.

Blanca has tailored her treatment modalities to fit her client’s needs using Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and several other evidence-based treatment modalities such as existential theories and positive psychology interventions.

Blanca believes the relationship between client and therapist is the most important part of the process. It is imperative that client(s) can trust her, and she provides a safe place for her clients to let themselves be vulnerable. Blanca offers a judgement free atmosphere where her clients can grow and learn how to be the best version of themselves, to recognize their strengths and enhance coping skill.
