Korinna earned a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Prior to her work in counseling, Korinna worked as a field biologist after earning a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Korinna is originally from Boston, Mass., and has lived in Albuquerque since 2016.

Korinna works with adult and adolescent clients. She started her counseling career in a non-profit setting with survivors of domestic violence and their children. She also has experience working with adults and adolescents with histories of depression, anxiety, complex trauma, co-occurring diagnoses, substance abuse challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, OCD, and body-focused repetitive behaviors.

Her approach to counseling is largely Person-Centered and Existential in nature, however, Korinna also utilizes techniques from CBT and is trained to provide EMDR therapy that can help clients process and release the emotional weight of traumatic experiences.

Korinna chose a career in mental health to follow in the footsteps of the helping professionals who had a major impact in her own life from a young age.
